Our center is a medically licensed clinic, and our ultrasounds are performed by a licensed RN. We believe every woman deserves access to professional medical care and accurate information without the burden of cost or the pressure of a sales pitch. All our services are confidential and provided in a warm, non-judgmental environment.
Why Get an Ultrasound?
While a pregnancy test can confirm the presence of pregnancy hormones, a limited ultrasound is important to help answer three critical questions:
- Pregnancy Viability: It is common for some pregnancies to end in a natural miscarriage. An ultrasound determines if a fetal heartbeat is detectable and if the pregnancy is progressing.
- Gestational Age: Knowing exactly how far along you are is vital, especially when considering your pregnancy options. The ultrasound uses measurements to provide an accurate estimate of the conception date and your due date.
- Pregnancy Location: The ultrasound confirms that the pregnancy is located within the uterus. This is important to rule out a tubal or ectopic pregnancy, which can be a life-threatening medical emergency.
